We Aw a sign in downtown Marion that stated “Eat Local,” so while we were in town we decided we would do just that! A friend recommended his place and told us “it doesn’t even have a sign.” I found that funny. Th food must be made THAT good! As a family, we were all able to find something to try off of the small menu We Reid cheese sticks (your standard fare), bloomin’ onion (not far off from Outback’s actually), and then we ordered Ribeye sandwich, hamburger steak, bbq sandwich, and teriyaki chicken. While all the food was good, I’m not sure I would stop by if you are super health conscious. Most of the “vegetables” were white. The chicken teriyaki was just that- chicken with a little onion - no veggies or colorful anything. The sides were French fries, baked potato, or sweet potato fries. The salad was standard iceberg lettuce, but that heirloom tomato slice on top was super yummy! It wasn’t bad, just not the healthiest option. The rest of the family enjoyed everything. Hubby said th hamburger steak had a great flavor. My daughter had the ribeye sandwich and after a little dip in some Heinz 57 she was pleased. I don’t have to guess how good the BBQ sandwich was because my son inhaled it. The food wasn’t fancy, but it was good. Some prices seem super reasonable, while a few seemed a bit much (the chicken was $16). Overall I would certainly make another stop here for an occasional comfort food meal. The atmosphere looked much like a bar- lower light levels, tv’s, string lights, but felt very family friendly. The service was stellar. If the server didn’t know an answer to a question she found out quickly and was super helpful.
